Round 1 of the Team Competition
It’s official, the competition has started! Round 1 and Europe are in the lead with zero penalties, followed by South America on four, North America on eight, Australasia and Africa both on twelve and Asia on twenty penalties. Course Designer John Vallance (AUS) produced a fair, fluid and encouraging course that was spot on for the riders and their borrowed horses, both big enough and technical enough to test their skills and partnership. There were 8 clear rounds: Matias Alvaro (ITA), Michael Duffy (IRL), Filip Agren (SWE), Francisco Calvelo Martinez (URU), Valeria Jimenez Caballero (PAR), Mohamed Hatab (EGY), Hamad Naser Al Qadi (QAT) and Stefanie Brand (GUA).
